SwingDNA matches your golf swing to publicly-discussed swing characteristics of professional golfers.
SwingDNA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any professional golfer named in this app.
References to specific tours, players, or coaches are nominative and intended only to describe matching mechanics and training references.
Trademarks and likenesses are the property of their respective owners.
The on-device golf-ball detection model is trained on Roboflow Universe datasets released under CC BY 4.0 and attributed below.

Per-pro coaching descriptions are grounded in publicly-discussed swing characteristics, drawing on Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) biomechanics norms, TrackMan PGA Tour Averages, and well-circulated published coaching analyses. Where a specific coach's published instruction informed a profile, the attribution trail is documented in SOURCES.md in the SwingDNA repository.
Reference ranges and metric definitions in the in-app glossary cite published research:
• Cheetham et al. (2001): X-Factor stretch.
• Myers et al. (2008), Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise: X-Factor / clubhead-speed correlation.
• Lai et al. (2011), Sports Engineering: wrist-IMU clubhead-speed accuracy.
• Jorgensen (1999): double-pendulum clubhead-speed model.
• Novosel, Tour Tempo (2004): 3:1 backswing-to-downswing ratio survey.
• TrackMan PGA Tour Averages: published per-club tour reference distributions.
Golf-course geometry (greens, tees, hole shapes) is sourced from OpenStreetMap (ODbL) and supplemental US course datasets. Real golf-course architects (Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, etc.) appear by name in the public-domain course records; SwingDNA is not affiliated with any course architect or course operator named in the data.
